Environmental Benefits of Natural Salt Lamps

Composition and Properties
Natural salt lamp is primarily composed of sodium chloride (NaCl), the same compound found in table salt. However, they also contain trace amounts of other minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, and calcium, which contribute to their distinctive pink or orange hue. These minerals are naturally present in the salt deposits from which the lamps are sourced, often from ancient sea beds.
When the lamp is heated by the internal light source, it is believed to release negative ions into the air. Proponents claim that these negative ions can improve air quality and provide health benefits, though this remains a topic of debate in the scientific community.
